With a Year-On-Year Growth of 15.1%, Hebei's Digital Economy Will Reach 1.39 Trillion Chinese Yuan in 2021

The reporter learned from the press conference of 2022 China International Digital Economy Expo held by the Information Office of the Peoples Government of Hebei Province that since the first Expo in 2019, Hebei has vigorously implemented the digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, further promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, constantly pushing forward the birth of new industries, new forms and new models, and facilitating Hebei to accelerate its journey to a new blue ocean of digital economy.

The industrial scale continues to grow. In 2021, the scale of digital economy in Hebei Province will reach 1.39 trillion Chines yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 15.1%, accounting for 34.4% of GDP. The revenue of electronic information industry increased by 22.4% year on year. The leading role of digital economy is strengthened and its supporting role will be more obvious.

Infrastructure layout is optimized. The scale of online operation servers reached 2.6 million, ranking fourth in computing power and fifth in storage power. The number of 5G base stations ranks the seventh in China, and the network in the main urban areas above the county level is fully covered. Hebei Xiong'an New Area has been approved as a dedicated Internet data channel, and Zhangjiakou has accelerated the construction of a national computing hub node of the project of computing resources from the East to the West, providing support for the high-quality development of the digital economy.

Intellectualized reconstruction and digital transformation has been accelerated in an all-round way. The cloud coverage rate of industrial equipment is 17.7%, ranking the first in China, and the numerical control rate of key processes is 58.2%, ranking the third in China. CITIC Daika is selected as the "Lighthouse Factory" of the World Economic Forum, and three enterprises including HBIS, CITIC Daika and Great Wall Motors are selected as the first batch of "Digital Pilot" enterprises in China, ranking first in China. Digital empowerment has pressed the "fast forward key" of Hebei's new industrialization process.
